What it does
The spacing matches standard shelf pin layouts. A positioning pin extends the row.
It guides a 35 mm cup 3 to 6 mm from the edge, with screw patterns of 48 x 6 and 45 x 9.5 mm.
Hardened bits for 1/4 in and 5 mm pins come with a stop collar.
Build one cabinet and you drill shelf holes inside and hinge cups on the door. This jig handles both, which saves buying and storing two tools. For shelves, you set the edge distance at 37, 50 or 64 mm and drill through the guides. For hinges, you flip to the template and mark the cup and its screws. The plate is aluminum alloy with a wear-resistant surface.
Limits
It is a layout guide for hinges, and it does not clamp and drill the cup the way our 35 mm hinge jig does. For a full kitchen of doors, that jig is quicker and catches the dust. For long columns of shelf holes, the 11-hole jig covers more in each pass. This one suits a single cabinet or a small run.

This jig worked very well for my cabinet project. It clamped solidly to the surface and didn't shift accidentally at any point. The pin holes were straight and snug with the standard commercial pins. The two hole size options are excellent, as well as the adjustability of the hole distance. The jig overall feels very solid and like it will last a long time if taken care of.One note for carpenters. If you're drilling into plywood, it's worth pinning a thin sheet of mdf or hardboard on top of your plywood when drilling with this jig. The provided drill bits create some tear out that would be minimized by a top layer. Alternatively, you could try using a different set of bits than the ones supplied, but I don't know if that would stop the problem completely.
This jig was easy to use and it included the drill bits required for drilling the shelving holes. I was adding a long row of shelf peg holes and was trying to match them with the row already present on the board... at first I just tried measuring the distance at which to start drilling the holes... it was off a tiny bit... I would totally suggest using a large square to accurately measure where to start the drilling... once the first hole is drilled, that same hole is used to measure alll the other holes... it was easier than I thought and the jig is well made and will last a long time.
The tool worked perfect. My only suggestion is that they should make it twice as long so you don't have to move it so much, it only drills about 8" of holes at a time. The second thing is and this is not a complaint make sure you use a clamp in the middle to hold it tight while you drill. The two thumb screws are for holding it to the edge of the board, not for clamping. The tourqe of the drill bit will want to pull it off the edge of the board. This tool is a good bang for the $.
I was surprised how solid this was. I needed to drill out shelf pin holes for a simple rough shop cabinet made from spare wood. This looked like it would work on an already assembled box and it did. The provided bits are not great but they made it through this job, just be sure to really tighten the collar, because it slipped at first and went all the way through one hole. When I drilled the middle vertical panel the holes lined up perfectly from both sides. I can't see anything wrong with this, it might not hold up for making a lot of cabinets but time will tell.
