Choosing Cabinet Jigs at the bench
Know your cabinet
A face-frame cabinet has a wood frame on the front of the box. A frameless one does not. Door jigs are made for one, or for both, and the page says which.
Count the jobs
Doors need support and hinge cups. Shelves need pin holes. Drawers need level slides. One jig rarely does all four, though the 7-hole jig covers shelves and hinge layout.
Check the numbers
Clamping range, cup size, pin diameter and edge distance are listed for each jig. Match them to your panels and hardware.
