How to choose

Choosing Hand Saws at the bench

  1. Pick the length by the cut

A 6 in blade suits dowels, trim and small joints. A 10 in blade suits boards and long cuts.

  2. Read the TPI

More teeth per inch means a slower, smoother cut. Fewer teeth clear wood faster and leave a rougher face.

  3. Mind the job

Ryoba saws are for wood. The multi-blade saw handles drywall and branches. The 12 TPI saw is for bone.
