What it does

The 3-in-1 Door Mounting Jig, in three points

  1. Holds the door for you

The base carries the door's weight while you drive the hinge screws. One person can hang a kitchen.

  2. Clears a face frame

The clamp opens from 3/8 to 2-3/4 in, so it steps over molding on framed cabinets and still grips a frameless side.

  3. Fine height control

A threaded post moves the door 63 mm up or 30 mm down. Set the reveal once and repeat it door after door.

At the bench

Hanging a door means holding it level, holding the gap and driving screws, all at once. This jig takes the first two jobs. You clamp it under the opening, rest the door on its shelf and turn the post until the reveal matches the door beside it. Rubber pads keep the aluminum from marking paint. The same tool guides the drill for push-to-open latches on base and wall cabinets.

Check before you buy

  • The cabinet edge you clamp to is between 3/8 and 2-3/4 in thick.
  • You need up to 63 mm of lift or 30 mm of drop to reach your reveal.
  • You want latch drilling as well as door support.

Limits

Pick another one if

If every cabinet you own is frameless, our frameless jig costs less and is smaller in the hand. This one earns its place when a kitchen mixes both kinds or when face frames carry molding. It will not grip a frame thicker than 2-3/4 in. It also sets height only, so the side gap is still yours to check with a shim or a rule.

    Love it

Well thought out jig and solidly built. Definitely a time saver not to have to measure the placement for each door. The integrated centering bushings for the push to open is a great feature. No need to buy a separate jig.
