What it does
The 35mm Hinge Jig, in three points
Cup holes without layout
A snap-on ruler sets the position. Choose an edge margin of 3, 4, 5 or 6 mm and a pilot spacing of 45, 48 or 52 mm.
Clamped, not hand-held
The quick clamp holds boards up to 38 mm thick on rubber pads, so the bit enters square.
Dust goes to the vac
A 1-3/8 in port connects to a shop vac and pulls chips out of the cup as you drill.

At the bench
Concealed hinges need a 35 mm cup at an exact distance from the door edge. A few millimeters off and the door binds or gaps. This jig clamps to the door, and its ruler sets the margin so every cup on a run of doors lands in the same place. The pilot holes for the hinge screws are guided too. When the cups are done, the detachable supports hold the door on the cabinet while you mount it.
Check before you buy
- Your hinges have a 35 mm cup.
- The door is 38 mm thick or less.
- The hinge maker's sheet gives an edge margin between 3 and 6 mm.
Limits
Pick another one if
It drills one size of cup. Hinges with a 26 mm or 40 mm cup need another tool. The clamp also stops at 38 mm, which covers standard doors but not thick slabs. If you only need a ledge to rest doors on, our door mounting jigs are simpler. If you also drill shelf pin holes, the 7-hole shelf pin jig has a hinge guide built in.

It does the job
If i had more than just a few cabinets to build I would look for something a little more robust. It worked for what I needed.

Look for a better product
It will aid in getting the holes where u need them but u will be fixing the stoppers alot oh the her set screw will strip on u if u try to tighten it be careful and the clamping will have to be done every use not the best tool probably just get a better version but it did drill the holes just not ideally
