What it does

The Drawer Slide Jig, in three points

    The 12 in arms carry magnets strong enough to steady a 24 in slide.

  2. Scales on the body

    Inch and metric marks are laser-etched, so you set the height on the jig and skip the tape measure.

At the bench

A drawer runs true only if its two slides sit at the same height and the same setback. This jig clamps to the cabinet side and gives the slide a shelf to rest on. You lock the position, drive the screws, then move the jig to the other side at the same setting. For a tall cabinet, pull the end cap and join the two bodies to reach higher.

Check before you buy

  • Your slides are side-mount and 24 in or shorter.
  • The cabinet side is flat where the clamp sits.
  • You have more than one drawer to fit, which is where repeat settings pay off.

Limits

Pick another one if

The arms are plastic and 12 in long, so a long slide overhangs them and relies on the magnets. That works up to 24 in. Undermount slides that fix to the drawer bottom are not what this jig is shaped for. Buyers rate it 4.1 out of 5, lower than our door jigs, so read the reviews below for the snags.
