What it does
Push the square against the board edge and the rail sits square across it.
A block slides into the rail and tightens with a knob. A draw latch then pulls the square tight.
Two blocks rest on the surface so the rail does not lift or tilt.
Crosscutting sheet goods with a track saw means squaring the rail for every cut. This square does it by feel. It rides on the rail, you slide the pair up to the edge, and the cut is square. The body is aluminum alloy, 250 by 80 mm. A mounting plate in the box hangs it on the wall between jobs.
Limits
It holds one angle. For miters you want our adjustable square with six preset stops. It fits Festool and Makita rails and, by the maker's word, most major rails. If yours is another brand, check the T-slot before you order.

This jig other than the locking mechanism and indexing key is almost all aluminum. The locking mechanism is a turn key on a cam that draws the straight edge into the jig locking it against the aluminum knurled surface to keep it aligning at 90 degrees. There is a thumb screw that locks a key in the underside channel to ensure solid alignment. Checking the accuracy of the square once anchored shows 100% @ 90 degrees. I use an aftermarket track saw track and have access to an original and there is no issues with compatibility or alignment on the guides edge. Solid fit that stays locked in place. In the photo there is a check of squareness and as shown the edge to edge is a tight tolerance. The thickness of the guide should keep this tool viable for many years and is of suitable thickness to prevent bending or cracking of the metal in heavy use.
We are adding a built-in cabinet in our living room next month. Technically I haven't used it yet but have tested it on my Milwaukee rails and cutting several small pieces of woods. This track saw square makes setting up 90-degree cuts much easier and more repeatable. The quick lock mechanism holds it securely to the guide rail, so I don't have to spend as much time checking and rechecking my alignment. The aluminum construction feels heavy duty without adding too much weight, and it fits my Milwaukee guide rail nicely. I think $39 is a great deal since it can save us so much time with all the cutting we'll have to do.
This is a very nice aluminum square guide. Mine was perfectly square out of the box and ready to use. It makes it easy to set up perfect 90 degree cuts with a track saw. Nice and accurate out of the box, and it clamps down to track well and stays in place once secured.Note that it does not come with directions, but it is easy and straightforward to attach to track saw track and get going.I expect to get a lot of use out of this guide. It has enough slots milled into the aluminum that I am hoping I can create a few additional jigs based around this guide for different tools, as well, but we'll see how that goes.
Great accessory! Locks on to the track well and cuts measure true to 90 degrees. The build quality is really nice, and has a solid feel where connections are made. The additional mounting bracket is a nice touch and seems to be made of the same material as the square. All in all, I don't have bad to say about this track accessory. A good value for the price.
